E & R at the Edge of the Woods

I think this might be my favorite cake of all time 🍋✨


The design is super cool.

But what really caught my heart was the process.

This cake started with a connection.


I met Erica at an event, and right away, she radiated so much joy and positivity 💛


Not long after, she got engaged (!!) 💍


Our meeting turned into a phone call—a little over an hour.

She shared their story, her hopes, her why’s, and her cake dreams.


That call turned into a tasting.


And from there, I was on a mission: to create a cake that made her feel just as amazing as it tasted. We created a grain-free, sugar-free, grass-fed lemon cake with lemon curd and raspberry compote 🍋🍓


Her Pinterest board helped shape the vision, but the real inspiration?


A beautiful Sycamore tree 🌳

She gave me a cutting, and I designed the cake with a piece of that tree beside me.


4 sketches turned into one — and then I brought it all to life.
